Academic Assessment and Placement

All incoming students, unless otherwise exempted, must undergo placement testing in reading, sentence skills, and mathematics to determine if they are "college ready." FCC administers the Accuplacer English and math placement tests to assess students' skills in these areas. The Accuplacer includes a reading comprehension, a sentence skills, and math tests. The math portion assesses a student's knowledge of Algebra I and Algebra II skills. The test is untimed.
